Description:
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Warehouse / Yard Operatives to join our team for the winter season in Crick.
Staffline is recruiting Warehouse / Yard Operatives for our client which deals with the distribution of breads and cakes.
Temporary Seasonal Contract (End of September to April) Potential opportunity to secure a permanent Warehouse GWO role upon successful completion of the contract!
The rate of pay is £13.88 per hour.
This is a full-time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are:
- 8am to 5pm
Your Time at Work
This is a physically demanding, outdoor role that plays a vital part in ensuring site safety during colder weather conditions.
Working under the guidance of the site facilities manager, you will be responsible for gritting pathways, yards, car parks, emergency routes, and designated smoking areas across two sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and lifting 25kg bags of grit into gritting machinery
- Carrying out gritting duties across two sites. Ensuring all pathways, yards, car parks, emergency routes, and smoking areas are treated appropriately
- Maintaining clean and safe working environments
- Assisting with yard cleaning and maintenance duties during milder weather conditions
- Always following site health and safety procedures
Potential progression into a Warehouse GWO role following the seasonal contract.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be reliable with a strong work ethic, have a positive attitude and be self-motivated with the capability of working independently.
Applicants will be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties. You will be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
