Support Worker - Autism and Learning Difficulties

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: £12.00 per hour plus benefits, Paid Induction, Additional £1200 per year based on 2 sleeping nights per month, Overtime pay above 37.5 contracted hours
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis
Shift Patterns: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm

We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
As a support worker, you will be part of an experienced staff team working within a busy and vibrant service where no two days are the same.
Support worker duties include:

Daily activities such as cooking meals, basic cleaning tasks, medication administration (after completing relevant training), food shopping with the people we support.
Providing support for offsite activities such as swimming, cinema or even theme parks, going away on holiday with the people we support, helping them to live their best life!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of.
Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims. 
Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
To work in accordance with SeeAbility’s valuesWe are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
You will work closely with the registered manager, deputy manager and your seniors to ensure that we are delivering the best person-centred care, ensuring outstanding delivery of support in line with our vision; inclusive communities where people with dementia, autism, and learning disabilities and physical disabilities participate as equal citizens.
As a support worker you’ll be part of a team that includes support from a positive behaviour support consultant. Your day-to-day management will come from an experienced, passionate leader who will work alongside you. This will assist you with your own leadership and interactions that will in turn enable people to move forward in their lives creating community connections, friends, hobbies, interests, and work.  Being passionate, creative and values led will really help you in achieving the small and bigger goals and outcomes that we all see as part of a safe, happy, healthy and empowering life. You will be driving the person we support their car, so full UK clean drivers license is preferable for this role. 
Who will you be supporting?
John* Has his own mobility car and enjoys getting out as much as possible. He attends the theatre regularly and enjoys concerts, music, and dancing. He is fluent in Italian and English and enjoys a good party.
Jack* is one of cheekiest people we support. He has a great sense of humour and a cheeky laugh to go with it and can be very affectionate asking for head massages and scratches, he loves sensory interaction.
James* Likes to refer to his bungalow as his NBC studio, he is the chief presenter, and some staff have their roles as writers and news readers. He enjoys ordering take away and going on holidays with our colleagues!
Jake* Is a very independent person who leads a busy lifestyle. He is very spiritual and enjoys regular sessions of Pilates and Yoga. He is a very sociable individual and is often making plans with his neighbours and planning events with staff.
Jeffery* loves being out and about and goes out almost every day. He has regular activity days where he enjoys going to the cinema, swimming, and on the odd occasion trampolining. He enjoys music, having a good boogie! He loves eating out and having stories read to him.
Joseph* is a very quiet individual who always likes peace and quiet. He spends his days in his room watching the birds in his garden. He lives a very simple, tranquil life.
