Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to work within the fast-paced Acute Medical Unit at North Manchester General Hospital under a long term placement contract.

Main duties of the job
As an integral member of AMU (Acute Medical Unit) team, you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking a comprehensive assessment of patients to establish their problems and create accurate treatment plans
* Enable a safe and timely discharge for patients
* Manage own caseload of patients
* Use high quality clinical reasoning skills and assessment techniques
* Plan and prioritise workload and that of junior staff
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
* Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration)
* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* Ideally experience with HIVE (training can be provided)
* Experience working in Acute Medicine and orthopaedics
