Description:

Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Croy who are looking for a QHSE Officer to join their busy team to cover Maternity Leave.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the Group HSE Manager in order to ensure that that all Health, Safety & Environmental compliance is adhered in the depot, and where required support other business areas.

* Assist the Plant Manager to verify compliance for all activities undertaken at the depot for customers and sub-contractors across all waste streams.

* KPI information & data recording.

* Conduct depot inspections and internal audits to monitor compliance in all areas of responsibility including transport.

* Deliver Site inductions, toolbox talks and training as required across multiple locations.

* Review and maintain depot risk assessments and work with management team to produce SSoW for identified tasks.

* Management of all fire safety related tasks including weekly alarm tests and fire drills.

* Facilitate and support the plant management teams to investigate all near misses & accidents and input onto the internal database.

* Maintain and control site working plan and assist the plant management and HQ team to host visits from external agencies as required.

* Act as the host for external accreditation audits to include ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.

* Arrange and record all training when applicable to all depot staff in conjunction with HR.

* Act as the point of contact for external stakeholders and liaise with them to ensure efficient maintenance of plant and equipment. Issue permits to work for staff and third party contractors as applicable.

* Maintain and update plant master plans and input all applicable environmental reporting information into the group portal.

* Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager in accordance with the scope and the responsibilities of the role.

About you:

* Minimum GCSE in Maths and English.

* Experience within Waste Management, transport or manufacturing sector, ideally at a supervisory level. (desirable)

* Driver’s License – Essential.

* IT skills, MS Word, Excel.

* Qualifications in Health, Safety, Environment or Quality (desirable) or willing to learn and gain additional qualifications.

* Internal auditor qualification (desirable) or willing to learn.

Working Monday to Friday – 8 hour shifts.

Salary £37000 plus £6000 car allowance
