£300+ Daily Rate – DOE

Full Time

6-8 Week Contract Initially

Working Arrangement:

Mainly Home based - allocated an office in either Brighton, Coventry or Wiltshire. Will only need to go there on the first day to collect IT kit and then for essential meetings.

Current SC Clearance essential

Job Overview:

Applicants to the Armed Forces must be medically fit to meet the various challenges of Service roles in which they will be expected to deploy; potentially anywhere in the world, at short notice, in locations remote from established medical care. Those with pre-existing conditions requiring periodic medical care or review, or with a requirement for long term medication, must be appropriately screened.

Healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary medical team are responsible for the scrutiny and screening of all British Army soldier candidates Primary Health Care Record (PHCR)

Responsibilities’ and Duties:

* Complete a thorough screening of the candidate's notable previous medical history.

* Dependant on the findings, determine an appropriate outcome of whether to pass or fail the candidate.

* Ensure that all relevant documentation is accurately recorded for each scrutiny. Forms are completed legibly and returned within the agreed quality and timeframes.

* Compliance with Our Clients Audit and Quality Assurance processes.

* When required complete referrals to the Lead Clinician / Deputy Chief Medical Officer / Chief Medical Officer / Single Service Occupational Physician (sSOP).

* Comply with Capita clinical governance requirements.

* Any other tasks associated with the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Nurse/ Paramedic / Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist & Other Allied Healthcare Professionals.

* Current HCPC/NMC registration with no restrictions.

* Preferably 3 years post registration experience, however we welcome applications from those who can demonstrate skills and qualifications.

* Evidence of autonomous decision making.

* Effective written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise work load.

* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as part of as a team.

* Ability to work in a changing digital environment.

* Computer literacy is essential.
