Job Title: Youth Support Adviser

Location: Eastbourne

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Salary: £23,088 to £23,907 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Adviser to join their team in Eastbourne. This role involves supporting young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) or are at risk of becoming NEET with their transition into post-16 provision. The successful candidate will champion education, employment, and training opportunities, engaging with young people through various methods to track their progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion and promote education, employment, and training opportunities for NEET young people.

Conduct tracking of education, employment, and training situations and record work on the Aspire database.

Complete initial MAPP assessments for young people accessing the service.

Represent the YES service in other venues, such as colleges or community hubs.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

Experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds.

Understanding of the barriers young people face in accessing education, employment, or training.

Previous experience conducting assessments or evaluations.

Knowledge of local education and training opportunities in Eastbourne.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Experience working within a youth support or mentoring role.

Familiarity with data management systems for tracking progress.

Awareness of safeguarding principles and procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to travel to various locations within Eastbourne and surrounding areas.
