Do you want to lead a team of Support Workers across 4 small projects in Cardiff?
Would you feel at home working with young people who have faced homelessness?
How about supporting those who have experience of the care system?

We are working with a Welsh charity, in the Cardiff area, to help them find a caring and compassionate Project Manager for their Care Leavers programme.

What will you get?

A role with an amazing charity and the chance to make a real difference to young people.
Starting salary of £27,843 + upcoming salary increase and £96 for every on-call day (1 in every 6 weeks).
If you cover a shift for one of your staff, you will get £12.69 per hour + £166.55 for a sleep-in shift.
Permanent contract.
Hours are usually 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (with some flexibility).
35 hours per week.
10% group pension scheme.
Access to the Internal staff well-being and counselling service.
Maximum of 41 days annual leave. What will you do?

Lead a team of around 12 youth support workers and assistants.
Provide supervision and people management.
Ensure the team receive the relevant induction and training.
Work in partnership with other organisations.
Monitor the performance of the programme and report to senior managers.
Build and sustain great relationships with local authorities and other services.
Carry out regular audits of files and service delivery.
Ensure that all spends are signed off by the correct manager/department. What do we need?

Someone with experience of leading a team of front-line staff.
A manager who is not afraid to jump in and help out where needed.
If you have experience of youth focused projects, even better!
A positive and non-judgemental attitude towards those with support needs.
Experience of working closely with partnership organisations.
An understanding of trauma informed practice, ACE's and PIE.
Knowledge of mental health issues, homelessness and/or a related area of support.
Access to a vehicle.
