How about managing one of two teams in Merthyr Tydfil or Rhondda Cynon Taff? Bringing stability and opportunity to young people who have been left behind.

We are working with such a charity, assisting in their quest to find 2 youth Projects Managers to cover both areas.

YOU WILL NEED ACCESS TO A VEHICLE
A LIVE DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE IS DESIRABLE (Enhanced - Children and Adult Workforce)

The important stuff...

There is an on-call element to this role - You would occasionally cover the on-call phone, answering questions and providing advice.
In the event of an incident or emergency, attendance to the project may be required.

You may need provide shift cover if a member of your team is unavailable (due to leave or sickness etc.)

Salary: £27,843 + £94 on-call payments
Shift cover: £12.69 per hour + £166.55
Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Holidays: Up to 41 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
Pension: Enhanced group pension scheme of 10%PLEASE NOTE: There are 2 positions. One is permanent and the other (RCT area) is maternity cover for a minimum of 12 months.

What will you do?

Manage a team of Youth Support Workers and Support Assistants.
Monitor service performance of project and report to Senior Management.
Get involved with the front-line support of the young people.
Ensure all spending is in line with the project budget.
Represent Llamau at multi-agency meetings and events.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and the young people is a top priority.What do we need?

A strong and compassionate manager, who wants to make a positive impact on the world.
Someone who has worked with and supported young people or other vulnerable individuals.
Experience in planning, recording and reporting.
An understanding of trauma, mental health, homelessness, substance misuse and other complex issues.
Someone with real drive and energy, even when faced with a challenging situation.
