Description:

We are looking for a passionate and hard-working role model to step into the Year 6 Teacher role in September.

As a Year 6 Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in preparing our students for their SATs and supporting them as they transition to secondary school. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to guide pupils through this important stage of their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover the Year 6 curriculum and prepare pupils for SATs examinations.
Provide targeted support to help pupils achieve their full potential in SATs tests, including practice papers and revision sessions.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
Monitor pupil progress closely and provide regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and resources tailored to the needs of Year 6 students.
Prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school by developing their independence, resilience, and self-confidence.Expectations for SATs:

Ensure thorough coverage of the curriculum to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in SATs examinations.
Implement effective revision strategies and practice tests to familiarise pupils with the format and content of SATs papers.
Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils who may require additional assistance in specific areas.
Maintain open communication with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and provide guidance on how they can support their child's preparation for SATs.Attributes:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in upper Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
Excellent knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs expectations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
