Teach the full Year 6 curriculum, including English, mathematics, science and the wider curriculum.
Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a broad, balanced and engaging learning experience.
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress, identify gaps in learning and adapt teaching accordingly.
Set high expectations for behaviour, effort, presentation and achievement.
Promote pupils' confidence, independence, resilience and readiness for secondary education.
Provide appropriate challenge and support for pupils with a range of abilities, needs and starting points.
Maintain accurate records of planning, assessment, attendance and pupil progress.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, families and relevant professionals.
Support the school's safeguarding, inclusion, equality and health and safety procedures.
