An excellent primary school in Tameside is seeking an experienced Year 4 Class Teacher to lead a class with a high level of additional needs, including several pupils with EHCPs.
This isn't a role for someone simply looking for another Year 4 class. The school is looking for a teacher who genuinely understands inclusive education, thrives on adapting learning to meet individual needs, and can confidently lead a classroom where SEND provision is embedded into everyday teaching.
You'll be joining a school with a highly supportive leadership team, experienced SEND staff, and a collaborative culture where teachers work together to achieve the very best outcomes for every child.

As the successful Year 4 Teacher, you will:
Teach a Year 4 class with a significant number of pupils with EHCPs
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a wide range of learning needs
Work closely with the SENCO, Teaching Assistants and external professionals
Create a calm, structured classroom where every pupil can succeed
Monitor progress and adapt teaching to ensure all children achieve their potential
Build strong relationships with pupils and families
Why This School?
Supportive and visible Senior Leadership Team
Excellent SENCO and experienced inclusion team
Strong classroom support from skilled Teaching Assistants
Inclusive ethos where SEND is everyone's responsibility
Well-established behaviour systems and positive relationships
Opportunity to make a genuine long-term impact

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven Upper KS2 or Lower KS2 teaching experience
Significant experience teaching classes with high levels of SEND
Excellent differentiation and adaptive teaching skills
Strong behaviour management
Passion for inclusive education
This role would particularly suit teachers who have worked in schools with high levels of SEND or resource provision experience.
