Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Location: Akeley, Buckingham
Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a supportive and close-knit school community where every pupil is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and engaging KS2 curriculum, creating a positive learning environment, and ensuring pupils make excellent academic and personal progress.

You will play a key role in supporting the social, emotional and physical development of pupils while contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum.

* Set high expectations that inspire and challenge pupils.

* Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching.

* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

* Maintain accurate records and pupil profiles.

* Prepare pupils for assessments and external examinations where required.

* Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

* Promote positive behaviour and uphold high standards of discipline.

* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

* Participate in parents' evenings, school events, staff meetings and INSET days.

* Contribute to extracurricular activities, school trips, clubs and the wider school community.

* Support the school's ethos, values and commitment to pupil wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

* Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2.

* Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.

* Has strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for teaching.

* Can inspire, motivate and engage learners of all abilities.

* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.

* Is organised, professional and committed to continuous professional development.
