Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: Up to £105 per day PAYE

We're working with a friendly primary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint a Year 1 Teaching Assistant for a September start.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real difference in the classroom. You'll work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, helping to build their confidence and keep them engaged throughout the school day.

The Role

Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
Working with small groups and individual pupils who need extra support.
Helping to deliver phonics, reading, writing and maths activities.
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a welcoming classroom environment.
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with general classroom organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

Has experience working with primary-aged children, either in a school or a similar setting.
Is patient, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Is enthusiastic about helping children learn and develop.
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or has suitable experience (preferred but not essential).
