Yardperson / Maintenance Operative
Location: Lincoln
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time | Monday to Friday | Immediate Start - temporary to permanent
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Yardperson / Maintenance Operative to join one of our well-established clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, keeping busy, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Keeping the yard and premises clean, tidy and safe
* Litter picking, sweeping, weed removal and general yard maintenance
* Disposing of pallets and other waste appropriately
* Putting deliveries away into stores (fasteners, body fittings and other stock)
* Assisting with general housekeeping around the site
* Driving company vehicles between the main site and a nearby compound (approximately half a mile away)
* Running occasional local errands in company 3.5-tonne vehicles
* Supporting the existing Yardperson with daily tasks as required
What We're Looking For
* A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
* Applicants must be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements
* Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for most of the day
* Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* A positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
* Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential -full training can be provided for the right candidate
Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 9:00am - 3:00pm
* 30-minute unpaid lunch break
* 27.5 paid hours per week
* Some flexibility may be available

* From £12.71 per hour
