Yard Operative / Forklift Driver
£13.00 per hour (inclusive of attendance bonus)
Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Thursday), 1:00 PM (Friday)
Summit Selection are working with a leading timber company based in Hull, dedicated to providing high-quality timber products to their valued customers.
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Person to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, handling timber products, and ensuring that orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handling, storing, and moving timber products within the yard
* Preparing and loading customer orders
* Maintaining a clean and organised yard
* Operating forklift trucks
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Assisting with stock control and inventory management
* Providing excellent customer service to clients and contractors
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within the timber or construction industry
* Ability to handle physical work and lift heavy items
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Side loader Forklift license is desirable but not essential
