Description:
Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing building supplies to a mixture of Contractors, House Builders, Local Authorities, and End Users.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the branch for a Yard Operative to join their busy and successful team.
The role will invlove using a Counterbalance fork lift to help load the companies vehicles with building materials to enable deliveries to be made. Additionally, you will be unloading goods coming into the Yard and ensuring they are put in the correct place. You will also be required to provide support to customers on the Yard by providing them with advice on products, and helping them to load products that have been bought on the trade counter.
For this role, previous experience using a Counterbalance Fork Lift is essential. Experience working within a Builders Merchant is also highly desirable, although strong experience with Counterbalance Forklift from outside the Building Supplies marketplace will also be considered for this role.
This is a 44.5 hour contract with hours from Monday to Friday 7:30am-5pm and alternative Saturday mornings 8am-12pm.
The package is as follows:
* Basic salary of between c£28k-c£30k depending on experience
