ROLE: Yard Operative - Recycling
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 18:00
SALARY: £15.49 p/hr

BASE: Site Based - Eurocell Recycle - Ilkeston

WHAT OUR YARD OPERATIVES DO:
Safely load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment (e.g. forklift, telehandler)
Ensuring materials are handled correctly and paperwork is completed accurately
Move, sort and process recyclable materials including metals, plastic, wood and general waste
Maintain a clean, organised and hazard free yard environment, including designated storage areas and traffic routes
Direct and control vehicle movements on site to ensure safe access and egress, prevent congestion, and maintain compliance with site traffic plans
Operate machinery and tool safely and efficiently, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR YARD OPERATIVES:
Experience in a yard, warehouse or recycling environment (preferred)
Valid Counter Balance license (required)
Awareness of traffic management and vehicle safety procedures
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
Heavy lifting is a part of this role
