Temp to Perm – Yard Operative.

Working Pattern: Successful candidates will initially complete a 2–3-week training period, working:
Monday to Friday, typically 7am–4pm.
Following this, you will transition onto a rolling 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, working either 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am.
Our client is an established organisation providing specialist waste management and associated services. They are looking to recruit two reliable and hardworking Yard Operatives to join their friendly and busy Operations team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on role within a supportive team environment, with full training provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a small team under the guidance of a Team Leader, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role will involve a combination of yard duties, machinery operation, loading and unloading, and general site maintenance.
* Operating machinery and equipment as part of the daily yard operations.
* Using forklift trucks to move materials around the site.
* Loading and unloading vehicles.
* Keeping the yard and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
* Carrying out general warehouse and yard duties.
* Completing basic paperwork and job records.
* Following health and safety procedures at all times.
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, waste management or similar operational environment would be advantageous.
* Previous FLT experience is desirable.
* Full UK driving license.
