Description:
Yard Operative / Forklift Driver (Temp to Perm)
£13.25 per hour | Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per Week
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join a busy and friendly team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term employment with a company that values teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Working within a close-knit operation, you'll be expected to support the wider team with a variety of tasks. This is not a role where you'll spend the entire day on a forklift, so a hands-on approach and willingness to get involved are essential.
Duties will include:
Loading and unloading vehicles
Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently
Moving materials around the yard
General yard duties and housekeeping
Assisting colleagues with operational tasks as required
Following health and safety procedures at all times
The successful candidate will have:
A valid external forklift licence (essential)
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Good attention to detail and a diligent approach to work
The physical fitness required for manual handling and yard work
The ability to work well as part of a team
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, industrial, or waste environment would be advantageous
What's on offer:
£13.25 per hour
Monday to Friday working pattern
40 hours per week
Temp-to-perm opportunity
Overtime available upon securing a permanent contract
Supportive team environment where everyone mucks in and helps each other
Opportunity to develop within a stable and growing business
