Job Title: Workstream Lead Programme Manager

Duration: 12 months, possibility of permanent in the future

Location: Hybrid/Worthing (2-3 days per week in the office)

Salary: £80000-£90000 per annum

Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities industry, is seeking a talented and driven Workstream Lead Programme Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Responsibilities:

As the Workstream Lead Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting, coordinating, and providing day-to-day programme management and delivery support to a specified transformation workstream (AMP8). Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with initiative owners to develop and deliver initiatives that achieve target outcomes and benefits.
Supporting sponsors and initiative owners in identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely action closure.
Leading weekly and monthly programme reviews, including preparation of presentations, minutes, and action tracking.
Managing the effective and efficient delivery of the workstream programme through best-practise programme management frameworks.
Recording, monitoring, and proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
Reviewing resource plans and ensuring the programme has the appropriate capabilities and capacity.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A proven track record of programme management success within complex delivery environments, with specific experience related to the workstream (Capital Delivery).
Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with a keen understanding of change concepts and human factors.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach.
Project/programme management qualifications, such as APM, Managing Successful Programmes, and Agile.
Ideally, a background in consultancy with some knowledge of the utilities or other regulated sectors.
A university degree, preferably with postgraduate qualifications (an MBA would be advantageous).
