Workshops and Project Manager

Description:

Our client is looking for a Workshops and Project Manager for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

Manage daily operations of projects and workshop duties. Complete and technically review quotes specifically for fabrication and engineering projects, manage quality control. Liaise with senior management on sales activity, forecasting, and budget preparation. Liaise with existing and new client, upselling new business and project opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fabrication and engineering projects point of contact for clients.
Responsible for technical review of quotes and pricing.
Responsible for raising all fabrication quotes and managing workshop workload and assisting with general quote enquiries.
Responsible for quality control of all workshop activities.
Management of projects and workshop activities, production, and operations.
HSEQ responsibilities within their relevant work area.
Establish and maintain safe systems of work.
Ensure all staff adhere to all HSEQ processes and procedures.
Manage production quality control.
Ensure all staff have correct level of qualification for duties.
Maintain and manage client and supplier relationships.
Coordinate with stores and admin regarding stock levels and control.
Assist in producing projects monthly sales and P+L reports.
Assist with forecast and budget figures.
REQUIREMENTS

Proven track record in a similar role.
Qualified in welding and fabrication.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Proven track record of technical and commercial welding and fabrication cost estimating.
Experience of managing fabrication and workshop teams
