Workshop Engineer
£38,000 - £42,800 + Mon-Fri Days + Technical Training + Workshop Based
Peterborough (Commutable from: Stamford, Huntingdon, Spalding, Corby, Kettering, Oundle, Market Deeping, Wisbech)
Are you a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer or HGV Technician looking for a stable, Monday to Friday workshop role where you can take pride in quality repairs and work on a varied range of specialist equipment?
On offer is a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering business in a Peterborough-based workshop position, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repair and refurbishment on high-value specialist vehicles and equipment, with technical and product training available.
You will be joining a company where quality, professionalism and continuous improvement are central, working on equipment including compact road sweepers, truck-mounted sweepers, winter maintenance spreaders and mowing equipment.
In this role you will service and maintain equipment, fault-find across mechanical, hydraulic and auto-electrical systems, complete refurbishment and accident damage repairs, and support fabrication/welding or body building work where required.
This role would suit an experienced service engineer looking for long-term stability, a workshop base and varied engineering work on specialist kit.
The Role:
Working on compact road sweepers, truck-mounted sweepers, spreaders and mowing equipment
Fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and auto-electrical systems
Refurbishment and accident damage repairs, plus fabrication/welding/body building work when required
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (Peterborough workshop)
The Person:
Background in workshop/field service engineering, plant, HGV, agricultural or similar
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical/auto-electrical systems
Full UK driving licence
