Workshop Production Manager | Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical

Location: Site Based In Hull, UK

Our client, a globally renowned EPC, has won several sizeable UK-based work packages; this is now driving an internal goal to increase the headcount and capabilities of their globally connected engineering centres.

On offer is the chance to be involved in the design and build of one of the UK’s largest greenfield construction projects working directly within the EPC delivery team. You will be responsible for ensuring the fabrication of pipe work alongside overseeing and coordinating all aspects of fabrication operations on site.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a Fabrication Manager who wants to challenge themselves by taking on a dynamic role in leading and driving quality in all Engineering designs and projects whilst working on one of the UK's most ground-breaking and innovative projects.

The role:

* Manage and lead a team of skilled fabricators, welders, and technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality fabrication processes.

* Plan and coordinate fabrication projects from inception to completion, adhering to strict quality, safety, and budgetary requirements.

* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to interpret technical specifications and ensure their successful implementation in the fabrication process.

* Monitor and optimize workflow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime,

* Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and tools required for fabrication, ensuring their availability and timely delivery.

The person

* Proven experience as a Fabrication Works Manager or a similar role in a fast-paced engineering or construction environment.

* Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, processes, and equipment, with expertise in metal fabrication.

* Solid understanding of quality control procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards.

* Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

* A degree or relevant qualification in engineering, fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
