Workshop Controller
Up to £45k Basic!
Monday to Friday Work Week!
Huntingdon Area
We’re currently looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy independent garage.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for keeping the workshop organised, managing the team and making sure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly.
You don’t need to be mechanically hands-on for this position, but strong workshop knowledge and excellent organisational and managerial skills are important.
The role:
* Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm
* 1 Saturday per month may be required
* Up to £45,000 basic depending on experience
* Managing and organising the workshop team
* Controlling the daily workload and job flow
* Ensuring jobs are progressed efficiently and on time
* Liaising with customers and keeping them updated
* Overseeing workshop administration
* Using digital workshop systems
* Ensuring workshop records and processes are kept up to date
About you:
* Previous Workshop Controller or strong managerial experience within the motor trade
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Confident managing a team and taking control of a busy workshop
* Tech savvy and comfortable working with digital systems
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Able to prioritise workloads and keep things running efficiently
* A positive, direct and professional approach
