Are you an experienced Workshop Controller looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a successful multi-franchise dealership seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy workshop.
Working alongside the Service Manager, you'll be responsible for maximising workshop efficiency, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of skilled technicians in a fast-paced environment. Workshop Controllers typically manage technician workload, monitor productivity, maintain quality standards, and coordinate closely with service and parts departments to keep the workshop operating efficiently.
The Role
* Plan and allocate work efficiently to maximise technician productivity.
* Monitor workshop loading and ensure deadlines are achieved.
* Support and motivate a team of Technicians and Apprentices.
* Liaise with the Service and Parts departments to maintain a smooth workflow.
* Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and company standards.
* Oversee quality control and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Monitor workshop performance, efficiency and profitability.
* Ensure Health & Safety and manufacturer compliance is maintained at all times.
About You
* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership.
* Experience working in a multi-franchise environment would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy workshop.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
