We are representing a reputable family-run bodyshop group in Burgess Hill seeking an experienced Workshop Controller. 45-hour working week, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday

Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of quality control
Manage a team of workshop staff, setting daily and weekly targets to meet repair deadlines
Conduct morning toolbox meetings and coordinate logistics with the parts department
Maintain site safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Drive productivity to meet and exceed monthly performance targets
Liaise with external clients, including dealerships and ARC, to ensure customer satisfaction
Utilise simple IT systems and spreadsheets to track units, workflow, and productivity (no formal management systems necessary)Requirements of the Workshop Controller:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or similar leadership role within an automotive environment; individuals from car dealership backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational abilities, with a focus on efficiency and quality
Good communication skills and the ability to motivate a team
Knowledge of health and safety standards within a workshop setting
