Job Title: Workshop Administrator
Location: Middlesbrough
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £13.46 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced transport and logistics operation in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced administrator who has previously worked within the transport, logistics, fleet, or workshop environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting workshop operations, ensuring all administration is completed accurately and efficiently while helping to maintain compliance and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Providing administrative support to the workshop management team.

* Processing and maintaining vehicle maintenance records and documentation.

* Scheduling vehicle inspections, servicing, MOTs, and repairs.

* Raising purchase orders and processing invoices.

* Updating fleet management systems and internal databases.

* Managing job cards, workshop paperwork, and service records.

* Liaising with drivers, engineers, suppliers, and external contractors.

* Ensuring compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.

* Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally.

* Producing reports and supporting operational planning activities.

* Assisting with stock control and parts administration where required.

Essential Requirements

* Previous administration experience within a transport, logistics, fleet, or workshop environment.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple departments.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable Skills

* Experience using fleet management or workshop management systems.

* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance compliance requirements.

* Understanding of transport legislation and operator compliance standards.
