Works Supervisor
· Gateshead
· Full time, Permanent, Monday - Friday
· £25,000 per year
A steel processing company are looking for a Works Supervisor to lead a small team of operatives to assure work is carried out to a high standard safely.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Supervising a team of operatives across processing and warehousing departments
· Reviewing workflow processes and layout plans to make sure warehouse space is safe and used effectively to capitalize on workday output.
· Operating of 5 – ton overhead cranes
· Ensuring paperwork is completed to ISO 9001 standard
· Keeping staff up to date with the latest training and HSE guidance
· Relaying any issues with sales & logistic departments to maintain accurate customer updates
What You’ll Bring to the Team
· Proven experience as a supervisor or team leader within a busy warehouse or factory environment. Steel industry experience would be great, but not essential.
· Strong awareness of health and safety requirements within an industrial environment
· Good organisational skills
· The ability to manage busy workload and meet deadlines
