About the role
Our client is a large earth works contractor and we are looking for an experience Works Manager with a earth moving and muck shifting background.
What you'll be doing
As a Works Manager you will:
* Take overall responsibility for the successful completion of the construction programme, meeting or exceeding all contractual obligations
* Monitor delivery of the project, identifying risk and opportunities and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery
* Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols
* Manage and develop the supervisory and engineering team, and lead project steering groups/cross discipline action groups, as required
Who we're looking for
You will:
* Have a practical understanding of construction techniques and detailing
* Be experienced in the management of large earth woks operations.
* Be highly numerate, with strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge
* Have strong leadership and management skills, with a collaborative leadership style
* Have a CSCS Card, and must be SMSTS qualified
