Workplace Compliance Manager | Facilities Management

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation for an experienced Workplace Compliance Manager to take responsibility for workplace compliance, statutory obligations and facilities services across a multi-site property portfolio.

This is a broad and varied opportunity for an experienced Facilities Management professional who combines strong operational knowledge with a detailed understanding of compliance, contractor management and statutory requirements.

Reporting into a senior SHEQ leader, you will play an important role in ensuring workplaces are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating effectively.

The Role

As Workplace Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of workplace compliance and facilities-related activity across a number of sites.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing workplace compliance and ensuring relevant legislation, regulations, standards and internal requirements are met.

*

Overseeing statutory compliance across areas including fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas, electrical safety and physical security.

*

Managing FM, M&E and specialist contractors, ensuring services are delivered effectively and in line with agreed requirements.

*

Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and ensuring statutory maintenance is completed within required timescales.

*

Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, addressing underperformance and driving continuous improvement.

*

Maintaining accurate compliance documentation, records and reporting.

*

Supporting audits, inspections and compliance assurance activity.

*

Identifying facilities and compliance risks and ensuring appropriate actions are implemented.

*

Working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain high standards across the estate.

*

Supporting business continuity, sustainability and workplace improvement initiatives.

*

Contributing to the development and improvement of facilities policies, procedures and processes.

*

Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders on facilities, compliance and statutory requirements.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong compliance background and the confidence to manage both operational requirements and external suppliers.

You will ideally have:

Significant experience within Facilities Management, ideally across a multi-site environment.

*

Strong knowledge of workplace compliance and statutory requirements.

*

Proven experience managing FM, M&E and specialist contractors.

*

Experience managing planned maintenance and statutory compliance programmes.

*

Strong supplier and contractor management skills.

*

Experience working with KPIs, SLAs and performance reporting.

*

Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

*

Strong communication and influencing skills.

*

A proactive approach to risk management, compliance and continuous improvement.

*

IWFM or equivalent Facilities Management qualification – essential.

*

IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification – essential.
