VGC Group are looking for an experienced Working Foreman to start on a major project in Birmingham. This contract is available to start as soon as possible and we can offer up to 2 years' work for the successful candidate.

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications Required:
- Gold or Black CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid (preferred)
- Proven experience supervising construction teams
- Strong background in civil engineering, concrete, or infrastructure projects

Working Foreman Experience
Your role as a Working Foreman will be based in Birmingham and will consist of:
- Supervising and working alongside site operatives to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Leading teams on site, providing direction and support to achieve programme targets.
- Coordinating daily activities, labour, plant, and materials.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conducting daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Monitoring productivity and reporting progress to site management.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
- Assisting with planning and organising work activities to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining accurate site records, permits, inspections, and timesheets.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identifying and resolving site issues in a proactive and professional manner.
- Ensuring all personnel wear the correct PPE and adhere to site safety procedures.
- Reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns as required.

Based in Birmingham, remuneration for this role is £26.96 per hour PAYE. You will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once qualifying criteria have been met.
