Calling all skilled Working Foremen with a strong background in carpentry! An exciting opportunity awaits you near Southwold, Suffolk. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join a reputable construction company as a Working Foreman for a 10-week project starting Monday! If you possess SSSTS and First Aid qualifications and thrive in a leadership role, this position is tailored to your expertise!
Supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
Leading and managing a team of skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and labourers, providing guidance and support to optimise productivity and workmanship.
Utilising your carpentry background to provide hands-on support and expertise in carpentry-related tasks when necessary.
Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and client satisfaction.
Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
Maintaining accurate records, including daily reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
Qualifications and Skills required:
Proven experience as a Working Foreman, with a background in carpentry.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification is essential.
First Aid certification is essential.
Solid knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering projects to the highest quality standards.
