Contract Length: 24 months

Location: Annan (4-day week, Monday-Thursday, 9.25 per day)

The main duties and responsibilities of the Work Control Engineer would be to:

Demonstrate safe, effective and ethical working behaviours.
Adhere to management system requirements for engineering activities.
Deliver engineering tasks to schedule, budget and quality requirements.
Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
Identify and escalate business risk arising from condition of engineered systems and structures.
Demonstrate adherence to management system requirements and relevant technical standards.
Engage with company delivery and administrative requirements; report own and team progress honestly and clearly, communicate in an engaging manner, support performance management.
Optimise the delivery of Operations Engineering.
Interface with other government departments
Work with team leaders
Provision of specified services to internal and external customers, to agreed standards.
Maintain awareness of developments in own trade and apply to own workplace where appropriate.
Provision of timely reporting for key stakeholders.
Comparison and analysis of trends within the Project and identification of risk and opportunities
Review, acceptance and integration of cost estimates and forecasts provided by Contractors and suppliers.
Adherence to governance and Cost standards and procedures
Ensure all Project documents, Sensitive Nuclear Information, is correctly marked, and protected in accordance with policies and procedures.

Skills/Experience:

Demonstrable Planning experience
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience in a Co-ordinating role
Experience working with multiple departments
The ability to be flexible in your work
Understanding of Maximo (Desirable)
