Are you an experienced Panel Wirer or Wiring Technician looking for a role where you'll build specialist equipment rather than the same product day in, day out? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Southam who is looking to strengthen their production team with an experienced Wiring Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a panel wiring, electrical assembly or electro-mechanical build background who enjoys hands-on engineering and takes pride in producing quality work.

The Role

As the Wiring Technician, you'll be working alongside experienced engineers and be responsible for building, wiring and testing bespoke electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

Building and wiring valve packs, electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Cutting, crimping, terminating and soldering wires and cables.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Fault finding and rectifying electrical assembly issues using test equipment such as Fluke meters.
Wiring PCB boards and carrying out soldering where required.
Completing electro-mechanical builds using hand tools.
Working from both electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
Completing production paperwork and updating information using Sage 200.
Supporting general production activities whilst maintaining high quality standards.We're interested in candidates from backgrounds including:

Skills/Experience required:

Previous experience in electrical wiring or panel wiring.
Strong cable preparation skills including cutting, crimping, terminating and soldering.
The ability to confidently read electrical drawings and schematics.
Fault-finding experience using electrical testing equipment.
Experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly.
PCB board wiring or soldering experience (desirable, not essential).
A BTEC, HNC, NVQ or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering is advantageous, although practical industry experience is equally valued.
