Company Introduction
Coltech is partnered with a prestigious government client who are looking for 4 experienced WINTEL Engineers to join their team for a 9 month contract.
The Wintel Engineer would support installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and software components within a heavily virtualised environment. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing technical issues, and collaborating with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows servers and related infrastructure in a virtualised environment.
* Manage and configure Microsoft enterprise products, including Active Directory, Group Policy, SQL, Exchange, Skype, WSUS, PKI, and MS Office elements.
* Produce and review low-level design artefacts.
* Support system testing activities.
* Resolve issues in collaboration with Service Management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proficient in the installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, and support of Windows Server OS (Windows Server 2012R2 and 2019) in a virtualised environment.
* Experienced designing, configuring, and administering complex Active Directory and MS Exchange environments, preferably secure.
* Skilled in MS Windows client configuration and support (Windows 10 / 11).
* Familiarity with service management tooling and ITIL.
* Must hold a valid Security Clearance (SC).
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience in supporting live services, incident investigations, problem management, change management, and defect management.
* CentOS/RedHat experience is a plus.
* Microsoft MCSE Qualification or equivalent
