Windows 11 Deployment Engineer
Short term contract until July 2024
£26 per hour – Inside IR35 via umbrella company
Rainham, Essex with travel across London and Kent
Driving license and car required, travel expenses paid
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Deployment Engineer to assist in the seamless migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across approximately 9,500 computers within our healthcare network. The ideal candidate will provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, ensuring minimal disruption and high user satisfaction. This role demands a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with various teams within Healthcare Informatics.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows 11 Migration Support:
* Assist in planning and executing the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for approximately 9,500 computers.
* Perform pre-migration checks and post-migration validation to ensure systems are fully operational.
* Address and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process to minimize downtime.
Technical Support:
* Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for all Windows 11-related issues via phone, email, and onsite visits.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, escalating to specialized teams when necessary.
* Maintain detailed documentation of issues and resolutions to aid future troubleshooting efforts.
On-site Support:
* Conduct pre-migration briefings and post-migration follow-ups, ensuring users are comfortable with the new operating system.
* Offer on-site support during the migration phase, including floorwalking to assist users in real-time.
* Facilitate mop-up sessions to address any lingering issues after the initial migration.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
* Strong understanding of network configurations, security protocols, and system management tools.
* Experience with software deployment tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
Contract Details:
This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering competitive remuneration of approximately £26 per hour via an Umbrella company.
