Description:

Talentmark are recruiting for a Wheat Crop Scientist to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 12-months. This is a part time role, of 22.5 hours per week. 

Salary:
£32.80 – £41.03 per hour PAYE

Wheat Crop Scientist Role:

Manage and grow collaborative projects focused on making wheat flour supply more sustainable.
Assess research proposals and new technologies from external organisations to see how well they support the company's sustainability goals.
Work closely with internal biscuit category teams to make sure R&D activity aligns with their sourcing, quality and environmental requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners, including farmers, millers and procurement teams.
Analyse biological data and produce clear, well-evidenced conclusions from research findings.Your Background:

Degree in plant sciences plus at least eight years' experience in plant breeding or agronomy, or a PhD in a relevant field with five or more years' experience.
Strong knowledge of plant breeding and agronomy, ideally in wheat or other cereal crops.
Proven experience managing projects that bring together both external R&D partners and internal stakeholders.
Ability to understand and translate complex supply chain requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
Fluent in English; French would be a bonus.Company:
