We are seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Welsh-speaking primary school in Aberdare. This is a unique opportunity to lead our Nursery class and play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest learners.

The Role

As our Nursery Lead HLTA, you will:

Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Nursery class.

Deliver engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences through the medium of Welsh.

Work closely alongside three dedicated Teaching Assistants, developing a strong and effective team focused on achieving the very best outcomes for children.

Support children's social, emotional, language, and physical development in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Collaborate with school leaders, staff, and parents to ensure every child thrives and reaches their full potential.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our values of respect, inclusion, and community spirit.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Holds HLTA status or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Is fluent in Welsh and committed to promoting the Welsh language and culture.

Has experience working within an Early Years setting.

Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Is passionate about delivering high-quality early years education.

Can inspire and motivate both children and colleagues.

Has a positive, proactive approach and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
