Description:
FINTEC recruit is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector for our Engineering/Fabrication client in Aberdeenshire. This is a permanent role working for a progressive and growing business. Working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week, regular overtime available plus company pension, health & medical cover & more. Salary negotiable by experience. Working in a busy fast moving workplace environment, carrying out welding and dimensional inspections. Reporting into the QA/QC Manager.
Responsibilities:
Undertake welding and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and welding procedures
Conduction pre-weld visual fit-up and post-weld inspections
Identifying re-work or repairs
Working closely with a small quality team and assist with coordination on non-destructive testing (NDT)
Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation
Skills and Experience required for the Welding Inspector role:
Able interpret complex engineering drawings.
Qualified to CSWIP 3.0 minimum.
Extensive experience in fabrication and welding (minimum City and Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualification or equivalent).
Familiarity with all welding processes and structural materials.
Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
