Are you a skilled welder looking for something more interesting than repetitive production work?
This Welding Technician role offers the opportunity to work on specialist tooling and heavy industrial equipment, carrying out complex repair and rebuild work that plays a critical role in the manufacturing process.
You'll join a highly skilled team responsible for maintaining and repairing forge tooling, supporting production operations, and carrying out a variety of fabrication and welding tasks across a large manufacturing site.

The Role - Welding Technician
* Assessing, repairing and rebuilding forge tooling used within the manufacturing process
* Carrying out MMA, TIG, MIG and gas welding activities
* Preparing worn tooling for repair through grinding, machining and material removal processes
* Supporting fabrication and welding activities across the wider site
* Welding production components used within specialist manufacturing processes
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Using measuring equipment to ensure work is completed to specification
* Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring high standards of workmanship
* Supporting maintenance teams with welding and fabrication requirements when needed
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Welder, Welder Fabricator, Welding Technician or Industrial Welder
* Strong welding skills across multiple processes, including MMA, MIG and TIG
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working within manufacturing, heavy engineering, steel, foundry or industrial environments
* Good understanding of materials and welding techniques
* Experience using measuring equipment and maintaining quality standards
* Welding qualifications, apprenticeship, NVQ or City & Guilds would be advantageous
* Positive attitude towards safety, quality and continuous improvement
This role would suit candidates from heavy manufacturing, steelworks, forging, foundries, fabrication, engineering workshops, industrial maintenance or similar environments.
