Welding and Fabrications Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Welding and Fabrications Lecturer to work at a fantastic establishment in Hull, starting in September and lasting until at least Christmas 2024. There is the potential for this vacancy to go permanent if the candidate enjoys the placement. This is a 35 hour per week booking, and payment will be between £20 and £40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. If the role goes permanent, the salary will be between £27,159 and £38,309 per year

This role will involve teaching post 16 learners Welding and Fabrications, and as such a background in this area is essential for the role. You will be responsible for all the planning and marking, and will facilitate academic tutorials for students as well. For this role, ideally the successful candidate will have a Welding qualification (level 3) and a Cert Ed/PGCE or a willingness to work towards. The College is willing to put people through their teacher training, so people with a background in Welding but without teaching experience are welcome to apply.

The establishment is located in Hull, and does have some parking on site. There is also a local, cheap car park (parking fees can be reimbursed). It is extremely accessible for candidates who do not drive via public transport.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

Hold a PGCE/Cert ED or a willingness to work towards
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Have experience working within schools in the UK.
Has experience teaching Welding (ideally)
Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or a willingness to work towards), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
