Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Location: Horley, RH6

Job Summary: The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the assembly, fabrication, and welding of metal components to produce structures or products according to specifications. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality and integrity of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication and Welding:

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings.

Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders.

Measure, cut, and assemble metal components using various tools and machinery.

Perform welding tasks on various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Quality Control:

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.

Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Identify and resolve any defects or issues in the welding and fabrication process.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.

Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.

Report any major equipment issues to the supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Comply with all company policies and regulatory standards related to welding and fabrication.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other team members to complete projects on time.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Provide feedback and suggestions for improving fabrication processes.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fabrication preferred.

Minimum of [X] years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.

Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.

Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.

Ability to operate various fabrication tools and machinery, such as grinders, saws, and presses.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and varying temperatures.
