Welder Fabricator
Nottinghamshire NG14
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour + overtime (time & a third)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (30 mins unpaid lunch + 15 mins paid break)
Location/Travel: Workshop-based with local Nottinghamshire site work (approx. 70% workshop / 30% site) - no staying away
A busy, well-established engineering and fabrication business is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a small, friendly workshop team producing bespoke, made-to-order work. If you enjoy building from scratch and working from drawings-not repetitive production-this is a great fit.
What you'll be doing
Welding and fabricating bespoke steelwork from scratch
Predominantly MIG welding
Working mainly with mild steel (approx. 90%)
Material thickness typically 3mm-15mm
Reading and working to engineering drawings
Supporting local site jobs across Nottinghamshire (van provided when required)
What we're looking for
Essential:
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
Confident working from engineering drawingsDesirable:
Stainless steel experience
Folding / fabrication machining / CNC folding exposure (advantage)
Comfortable with occasional site-based tasks
