Job Title: Welder, Fabricator and Assembly Operative

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: up to £13.50 per hour (dependant on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm + Friday 8am - 4pm

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Free ParkingKey responsibilities within your new role would be to:

Weld, fabricate and assemble to detailed project and product drawings.
Undertake welding, fabrication and assembly for steel components and sub-assembly parts.
Ensure quality, consistency and integrity of the weld and fabrication process through all stages.
Self-inspect and complete work to the quality standards the business adheres to.
Perform cutting, shaping, and assembling of metal components using various tools and equipment.
Inspect and test welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools.
Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Be pro-active within your role and highlighting and recording any possible issues, problems, variances during the weld and fabrication process.
Contribute to the company's ideas and suggestions incentive for continuous improvement.
Work to tight production timings to meet project lead time and deadline.
Ensure working practices and operation of machinery is conducted within the appropriate company or legislative Health & Safety guidelines.
Any other duties requested by Management to enable the smooth and continuous running of the production area.Experience and skills required for this position:

Proven experience as a Fabricator and Welder.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Knowledge of metal properties and safety standards.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
