MIG Welder, Yeovil, up to £16ph

Purpose

As a welder, you will become an integral part of our clients production team, responsible for using and maintaining large machinery and equipment. This hands-on role will involve using MIG welding & Fabrication skills, reading technical drawings, conducting fitting and assembly tasks, and ensuring the product is to the required standard.

Responsibilities

As a welder, your responsibilities will include:

MIG welding on large, heavy duty projects
Operating fabrication machinery
Supporting several projects at any given time, each of which is likely to vary in scale and urgency
Stripping, fitting and assembling a variety of projects which vary in size
Basic inspection of completed parts
Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times
General housekeeping duties
Background

As a welder, you will have:

Previous welding (MIG) and fabrication experience
Understanding of technical drawings and be able to interpret safety instructions, specifications, and manuals
High attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work as a team
Residence within sensible distance to our customers’ site as relocations won’t be considered.
