Days - £13.52-£14.46
Nights - £17.58-£18.80
Shifts: 2 Shift Pattern (Dayshift/Nightshift) – 2 week rotation

Job Description:

As a Welder, you will play a key role in fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using a variety of welding techniques. Your expertise in MAG, MIG, TIG, and other welding processes will ensure the production of high-quality components for the automotive, defence, and rail industries. The Welder position involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, conducting inspections, and maintaining a safe workspace.

Main Responsibilities:

* Perform welding operations using techniques like MAG, MIG, TIG, FCAW, and GMAW.

* Interpret and execute welding procedures and technical drawings.

* Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and shaping to ensure proper fit-up.

* Inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications.

* Maintain and inspect welding equipment for optimal performance.

* Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

* Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless production processes.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in automotive, defence, or rail industries.

* Proficiency in MAG, MIG, TIG, and other welding methods.

* Certification in welding standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ISO 9606-1) is a plus.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.

* Familiarity with materials like steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them.

* Experience with welding inspections and non-destructive testing methods.

* Willingness to work shifts and occasional overtime.
