Job Title: MIG Welder
Location: Peterlee, County Durham
Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing
Day Shift Rate: £19.55 per hour
Afternoon Shift Rate: £23.46 per hour
Night Shift Rate: £26.39 per hour
Overtime 1.5 Rate (Mon-Sat): £29.33 per hour
Overtime 2.0 Rate (Sundays): £39.10 per hour

Shift Patterns

Days: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 | Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00 | Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00 | Friday, 17:00 - 21:30

Key Responsibilities

Execute high-precision MIG welding on specialized fixtures and heavy-duty components.
Work strictly to tight tolerances where quality and safety are the top priorities.
Safely operate overhead cranes and utilize jigs for assembling heavy parts.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to strict safety regulations.
Collaborate effectively with a team that takes immense pride in their craft.

Required & Desired Qualifications

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Welding (or an equivalent relevant qualification).
Experience: Proven background in MIG welding with the ability to pass a trade test.
Equipment: Comfort using overhead cranes and jigs in a heavy industrial setting.
Mindset: A strong safety-first attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
Flexibility: Readiness to work rotating shift patterns (Days, Backs, and Nights).
