Description:
Welder
The primary responsibilities of the Welder is to assemble and weld various instrumentation solutions (small and large packages), mainly in stainless steel.
Responsibilities of the Role
Use MIG, TIG and Stick welding equipment.
Carry out routine maintenance checks on the welding machines, gas bottle systems and associated equipment ensuring any issues are reported.
Weld stainless steel earthstraps of various sizes
Weld stainless steel combination fittings
Support other areas of the factory requiring fabrication welding or welding relating to other equipment and tooling.
Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations in accordance with the organisation's HSE Management System, at all times
Ensure that all tasks carried out are as per supervisor’s written and verbal instructions
Carry out all work to required specification
Ensure that all tasks carried out meet company QMS procedures
Be aware of environmental issues associated with any waste disposal procedures
Ensure that skills and capability are maintained to achieve routine codings.
Ensure that work areas are maintained clean and hazard free at all times
Actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices
Ensure the accurate and timeous completion of System Welding Logs.
Comply with Company personnel procedures at all times
Be flexible in providing cover for other areas within the Workshop, as and when required and during absence or holiday times
Commit to continuous improvement and development
When required, support overtime to ensure organisational or client deadlines are met
Qualifications - Essential
Completed a Welding apprenticeship
Has previous experience and Codings in Stainless Steel welding
Previous TIG / MIG experience
Qualifications - Desireable
Current Codings in Carbon and Stainless Steel
Current Codings in welding exotic materials i.e. Nitronic 50
Weld Inspection Training
Experience - Essential
Fabrication Welder with Structural Experience
Ability to cover a wide sphere of Welding activities
Experience - Desireable
2G and 6G Welding Qualifications
