Description:

We are looking for a welder fabricator for a permanent position local to Ipswich, Suffolk.

Hours: 37.5 hour week with a half day finish on Fridays!
Overtime: Paid at time & 1/2 & regularly available
Contract: Permanent position

The company specialise in the production of plant equipment for the construction industry so anyone who has previous engineering experience plant equipment, engines, forklifts, construction equipment etc would be of extreme interest, however this is not essential.

Duties are as follows: -

As a welder you will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements, dimensions and welding positions
MIG & TIG Welding to various thicknesses
Perform various welding techniques to join heavy metal plates and components together based on specifications
Maintain accurate records of work performed
Operating basic fabrication machinery daily
Candidate requirements:

Read from engineering drawings
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
