Purpose of the role  

Carnsew Quarry (part of the Colas Ltd Group) is a quarrying business based near Falmouth, in Cornwall. . We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the team based at our Carnsew Quarry site, TR10 9DH as a Weighbridge Coordinator. Reporting to the Office Manager.

Main Responsibilities  

As a Weighbridge Coordinator you will be controlling and applying the processes of the weighbridge, which includes the monitoring and control of material movement and the distribution to customers, as well as the arrangement of haulage for daily deliveries.  Ensuring all delivery drivers and visiting collect customers are aware of and follow all site rules and answering customers questions on products, prices and availability. You will form part of the Aggregates and Asphalt team ensuring excellent customer service whilst carrying out your duties in accordance with the site rules. You will be answering customer and public enquiries via the telephone. 

Ideal Candidate  

The ideal candidate for this role will need to demonstrate they have the drive and ambition to fulfil the role and take on the responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner. You will need to be self-motivated, a good team player, be trustworthy and able to work with minimum supervision. Experience and knowledge of quarry and asphalt products is desirable along with a proven ability to liaise and coordinate daily with our customers to deliver a high level of service which is essential. The role is a front of house role that requires a pleasant and professional character so we are looking for a talented individual that has skills and experience within the industry who can be trained in the role if they do not meet all the ‘Ideal Candidate’ requirements. What is more important is someone who has excellent communication skills (verbal and written), have good telephone manner, be organised and be analytical minded. Being proficient in using MS office is essential.  

Package Description

A salary between £28,500 and £31,000 (dependent on experience)
45 hours a week
